Our step list:
1.A Smartphone vibrates and slides into a makeshift car.
2.Then the car starts to move and hit the dominoes
3.Consequently the dominoes fall which causes a plug to go into an electric cable.
4.The cable makes a lamp turn on that melts a plastic rope.
When the rope melts and is torn it releases a heavy cup that makes s a hammer pendulum fall.
5.The lowest and last hammer hits a piece of wood.
That piece of wood then starts an omega.
6.When the object reaches the end of the omega, this object drops a marble into a series of short tracks that stand 7.on top of one another and between each track there is a cut bottle that drops the marble to the next track that stands below them.
8.Between the second track and third there is a smaller bottle. When the marble falls, it drops a smaller marble and the smaller marble continues until the last track which is the fifth.
9.The marble falls and hits other two marbles.
10.At this point the two marbles split.
11.The marble continues on the track and enters a marble elevator.
Then the marble reaches the last floor.
12-13.On the last floor the marble hits a piece of wood and the piece of wood releases a rubber band attached to a car on a table.
14-15.Then the car pops a balloon. On top of the balloon there is another track.
When the balloon is popped the track is dropped and then it pours water into a water pipe and then into a water turbine.
16-17.As the turbine spins its releasing another marble that stands on a nailed track downhill.
18.When the marble finishes the track it goes onto a scale, the scale is held up by magnets.
19.When the scale is dropping down with the marble it releases a corn cube with a rope.
Then the corn is rolled down a rope.
20.At this point the heavy corn pulls the rope and pours a cup of cornflakes into a funnel
The funnel pours the cornflakes into a bowl!!!
Why think we should win?
First of all would like to mention that any student who wanted to participate in this project was given the chance to had an active role in the process.
It was important to us to have creative switches , causes and effects.
Our suggestion for next year's challenge
The next year's challenge is to put a teapot into a cup of hot water.
