אמי"ת קנדי - עכו

Our step list:

The machine is divided so that the lower region simulates the Earth and the atmosphere, and the high region simulates space.

1. An alien wants to eat cornflakes and puts his bowl in the wonderful machine.
2. The bowl presses on a handle of a toilet bowl and at the same time a sign of "Atidim" opens.
3. Water from the toilet bowl flows through a tube made from plastic bottles into a bucket with a Polystrene ball.
4. The water activates the lift force on the Polystrene ball (Archimedes Law)
5. The stick attached to the polystyrene ball raises a torque arm.
6. The arm pushes a toy truck into a sloping track.
7. The truck rolls down the track and pulls a string tied to it.
8. The string picks up the launch beam of the space shuttle using a pulley.
9. When the launch comes in contact with the side of the machine, it encounters a tight wire attached to the resting weight.
10. The weight falls and the water bottle is pulled down.
11. The little water in the bottle flows from the bottle through a funnel into a cylindrical water tank filled with water.
12. The addition of the water causes the pressure to change and all the water in the bottle is pumped into a bottle that hangs on a spring.
13. The weight of the water entering the bottle draws a string that is attached to a horizontal shelf with a weight. Pulling the shelf causes it to move from horizontal to vertical and the weight on which it falls.
14. The fall of the weight causes the space shuttle to launch upwards into space.
15. The ferry hits a small shelf and lifts it slightly.
16. A wooden rod placed on the shelf is connected to a small crane arm with a ribbon.
17. The crane arm is pushed and rolled with a toy "Nahum Takum" on a sloping plain.
18. The toy pushes a small piece of wood to fall.
19. The piece of wood is tied to a wooden cube and its fall causes the wooden cube to be pulled on a wooden plane.
20. The wooden cube blocked the way to the marble, after the fall it allows the marble to roll on a zigzag path until it falls into a scale.
21. The other side of the scale bar is placed on a conical cylinder that is on an expanding track, with the friction force the cone does not roll. When the marble landed in the balance, she lifted the other side of the scale bar.
22. Raising the scale bar over the conical cylinder canceled the friction force that held the cylinder and enabled the conical cylinder to roll up the track.
23. The cone rolls in a widening path with a positive gradient, causing the illusion that the cone rolls upwards (simulating the loss of gravity in space), but the center of the mass actually falls.
24. The cone hits a piece of tin and shakes it
25. A weight placed at the end of the tin falls due to shaking.
26. A tape attached to a weight in a clothespin attached to a toy robot, and at the time of the fall it pulls the thread out of the clothespin.
27. On both sides of the clothespin are disconnected electrical wires, which after the pulling of the tape creates an electric connection between them that activates the robot that starts dancing, singing and illuminate around it.
28. While dancing, the robot kicks the ball.
29. The ball is pushed into a trench system and hits the angle arm (right angle)
30. The angular arm is positioned to prevent the space raft from slipping into the omega. Hitting the arm causes the barrier to be lifted in front of the raft.
31. The space raft slides through the omega and pulls a string attached to a small arm connected to a hook.
32. The hook is tied to an arch and bow string (Arch->Sagittarius), and the movement of the hook causes the string to be released.
33. The bow shoots the arrow towards a vertical hammer.
34. The hammer falls and hits the ball that simulates the moon (the moon is connected to the machine with a magnet)
35. The Moon moves in a circular motion around the Earth.
36. When the moon's wire wraps around the metal rod on which the Earth is suspended, an electric circuit is closed that operates a pair of lasers.
37. The two lasers break down in a focused lens and focus on a clear point.
38. One of the laser beams is reflected by a convex mirror to a light sensor.
39. The light sensor activates an electric fan
40. The electric fan pushes balls.
41. The balloon is pulling a string connected to the box of cornflaks
42. The cornflakes spilled into the bowl and the alien can eat his cornflakes with pleasure.

Why think we should win?

we had a great enjoying team work. The topic(outer space) is original and the design is very impressive and reflective and the implementation was sophisticated. We insisted on avoiding using trivial processes such as dominos or balls. The outcome is a very stable machine of the highest quality.

Our suggestion for next year's challenge

To play music from a CD or another music device.
