Our step list:
Step 1: The hat lifts and moves the ruler lever
Step 2: ruler lever pulls wire connected to a nail which releases a marble
Step 3: marble roles down the path gaining kinetic energy
Step 4: marble hits hammer1, passing all the energy gained to the hummer
Step 5: hammer1 makes circular motion about a nail and hits hammer2 passing it its energy
Step 6: hammer2 passes its energy in same manner to hammer3
Step 7: hammer3 hits a rod which transfers the impulse to a weight
Step 8: weight falls from the track and pulls 2 wires, one connected to corn flake stopper and second to a wheel
Step 9: corn flake stopper drops with the weight an releases corn flakes to fall down the pipe to the bowl
Step 10: wheel pulled by weight makes half turn and converts circular motion to linear motion of the ruler, connected to the wheel
Step 11: ruler drown back by wheel, pules bottle filled with purple water
Step 12: bottle falls and pores water into bottle chain
Step 13: purple water flows through bottle chain until reaching filling cup at the end
Step14: cup is attached to a lever, when the cup filled with water the lever swings and the cup side goes down, on the other end there is a metallic weight closing up an electric circuit
Step 15: electric circuit connected to a nickel-chrome wire which is heated up due to current
Step 16: heated wire burns plastic string holding a balloon
Step 17: the balloon released from a hanging position and swings in a circular motion
Step 18: at the bottom of its motion there are sharp spikes making the balloon to explode
Step 19: balloon filled with milk and air explodes on the spikes
Step 20: milk from the balloon splashes into bowl with corn flakes
Why think we should win?
we should win this competition because our team work was fruitful and fun, second reason is that our machine was built from scraps we found in our school and our Lab, the third reason is that our machine was built by Ockham razor principal, every situation of a dilemma we chose the simple solution.

our suggestion for next year challenge is to built a machine that makes your homework and cleans your room... ;)
